PRIVACY: At Idealblinds your right to privacy is a primary concern. Information provided by you on the website remains with Idealblinds for processing your order and notifying you. Under no circumstances will your information be provided to a third party or any organization outside of Idealblinds for marketing purposes or otherwise (unless in the event of a legal requirement).
PRICING POLICY: In order to live by its aim of providing the most ideal product possible for the most ideal price, Idealblinds has chosen to develop a lean but realistic price calculation algorithm which ensures you always get fair and true value for money. For this reason Idealblinds charges for such items as the (larger than standard) samples and freight. Other companies may offer free samples (as Idealblinds may do at times as a promotion) and free delivery, but everything costs money and these costs will end up being built into the cost of the blind at some point. It does not seem fair to make a local customer help pay for the delivery costs of someone who lives in a remote part of the country. Idealblinds freight costs are based on whichever of two common carriers (Fastway or TNT) has the lowest price to your location (and for your blind length). Idealblinds does not add a profit margin to freight.
ORDERING: Orders are placed through the website, or if you choose, through an Idealblinds representative. If there is any problems with supplying your order, Idealblinds will notify you via email or telephone.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Bankcard. We also will accept your personal check in advance, however, please be aware that this will delay your order. We do not accept COD orders.
SECURITY - When you place an order, all information is processed through a secure server and the on-line Merchant banking system operated by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. However, if you want to place an order but do not want to provide your credit card or other information on line you may place your order via fax or phone or through an Idealblinds representative
CONFIRMATION OF ORDER: A confirmation of your order will be emailed to you or advised by telephone to you within 36 hours of receipt of your order (excluding weekends and holidays). The confirmation will contain the approximate shipping or dispatch date of your order.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGED ORDERS and PAYMENT in FULL: Idealblinds do not sell ready-mades. All products are custom made to your specifications for each window. Production can start within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will make every effort to accommodate cancellations and changes to orders; however, an order may not be cancelled or changed if it is already in production. No order can be cancelled after 24 hours. Full payment becomes due once goods are ready for despatch.
COLOR DISCLAIMER: Pictures on the Idealblinds website are offered as a ‘starting point’ representation of the actual fabric or material. Due to monitor variations, and the limitations of computers to represent colours and textures, the actual samples may differ significantly from what you see on your screen. The best option is to purchase a fabric samples after selecting colours that appear to be close to your requirements. Another option is to have Idealblinds visit and show you samples. Samples themselves may not always exactly match the final blind received and Idealblinds takes no responsibility for this. The reason for this is not that the fabric quality is unsatisfactory. It is to do with the nature of fabrics and natural materials. Many of the fabric for example offered by Idealblinds are made in Australia to high standards or imported from Europe or the USA. Comparison between one batch and the next from a manufacturer can mean that samples held side by side in bright may show a small but perceptible difference in shade of colour. Usually this is not noticeable for a hung blind where there are many shades and shadows of light. Real wood samples can vary considerably in lightness, darkness and colour, especially Western Red Cedar. It is regarded as part of its appeal. As a general rule it is better to order all blinds in one lot to minimize the chance of colour shade variation due to different manufacturer’s batches. Notwithstanding, Idealblinds cannot always guarantee exact colour match under all particular circumstances.

Idealblinds does not assume responsibility for misquoted prices, payment, and product information resulting from outdated publication data, technical, human or communication errors.
MIS-MEASURED BLINDS: Measuring for blinds and shades is simple but important. If you follow the measuring instructions on our website, incorrect measurement is unlikely. Measurement is entirely your responsibility unless an Idealblinds agent has visited your home, measured and taken the order. It is imperative you have measured your blinds correctly – see How to Measure page. If however your measurements are correct and the blind or shade doesn’t fit, Idealblinds will replace it at absolutely no charge to you. (Return delivery is however at your cost). In some cases it may be possible to trim back the blind. However, there is no guarantee of this and there would be a fee involved. Again, Idealblinds recommends that to avoid costly mistakes you have a second person check your measurements and proposed fitting method. It is unlikely you will have a problem if you follow these instructions.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE: If a product we sell you is not fabricated correctly or has a faulty component, it will be replaced or modified at absolutely no charge to you. The blind must be returned to Idealblinds unless other arrangements are made with Idealblinds for example, for a representative to visit. Return shipment cost is at the customer’s expense, but Idealblinds will return the replacement/repair at no charge to you. Return of the replacement/repaired blind will be as soon as possible.
PRODUCTION TIME: Usually an order can be processed within 5-10 working days for most blind categories. Large orders may take longer e.g.: 10-20 days. Some products such as Plantation Shutters may take up to 8 weeks. To estimate when your blinds will arrive, please add delivery time. If you elect to pick up your goods, Idealblinds will notify you when they are ready.
FREIGHT METHOD COST and TIME: The Idealblinds web site freight calculator is configured to give you the most competitive rate possible based on competitive rates it receives from Fastway or TNT. Idealblinds do not apply a profit margin (only a small fixed fee) for shipment, so the cost to the customer is the minimum possible. Delivery times to capital cities are typically 1-3 days from dispatch. For remote areas it may take as long as 10 working days from dispatch. All deliveries are covered by Insurance
FREIGHT DAMAGE: Please inspect the delivery as soon as it arrives. If you suspect any damage, you can INSPECT THE PRODUCT, or MAKE A WRITTEN STATEMENT on the freight document before you sign to accept the shipment. In order to make a claim, Idealblinds must have a photo of the damaged packaging and damaged goods. Contact Idealblinds as soon as possible.
WARRANTY: Idealblinds offers a two year warranty on faulty workmanship or materials. It may be possible to have this warranty extended by an Idealblinds representative, who will in writing note the extension on the quote provided for the particular installation. This extended warranty may be up to 5 years. Some products such as Mikronwood Timber Venetians and Mikronwood Plantation Shutters have a warranty of 5 years. For further details of the terms of the warranty contact Idealblinds. Repair or replacement of the product or components is at Idealblinds discretion.
